Well, my personal reasons why I won't be buying an SVT Focus...
1) Car is too small (the front seat is less roomy than the Contour's.) Also an issue of the overall feel and demeanor of the car. The Contour is a lot classier.
2) Focus hatchbacks are UGLY!
3) Not a V6, Would prefer to have a Duratec doing this over a 4-cylinder. Or else maybe a turbo over N/A.
Why go through all the money and engineering to make this engine when there's already nice turbo ones in the European toybox? Waste of money if you ask me.
If I had to buy a small sports sedan, I think I'd take the Spec V or maybe a Protege 5 (would be looking for more motor if I did the Protege).
You can pillage an enemy once, but a customer is an endless resource.
