He won't even bother to watch news any more. He's got no faith that anything they put in front of you is the truth, or at least suspects that all the reports are biased to a point of view without much coverage from opposing points of view. He is basically shutting his eyes to the 'media' and will tell everybody to do the same until there is more balanced reporting.
If there is any progress towards Iraq becoming a stable self-sufficient democracy I would like to know about it. As far as I know, in the areas that are stable it is not because the new police force is getting control of things, it's because militias have taken control. Vigilantism seems to be the only form of justice present in Iraq today. Time will tell whether Iraq is more stable and less threatening as a result of the invasion, but as it stands I don't think you can show me one bit of progress toward this goal.
So three elections won't cut it, huh? Nice to see you've got standards.
