Friend of mine served a tour in Afghanistan & is on his second rotation in Iraq. He just visited for a few weeks and left town on Friday.
He won't even bother to watch news any more. He's got no faith that anything they put in front of you is the truth, or at least suspects that all the reports are biased to a point of view without much coverage from opposing points of view. He is basically shutting his eyes to the 'media' and will tell everybody to do the same until there is more balanced reporting.
