Keep fighting the good fight.

Welcome to the world where ALL world events are viewed through the reckless lens and commentary of Western media, where if conflict isn't "polite", done by the rules and there's a camera around, say hello to a court-martial...

Good news doesn't get ratings; most of the television-watching population in the West are practically lemmings in terms of sucking up hype, exaggeration and operatic TV journalism. It's really not about the story anymore; it's about who can throw enough adjectives at a story during a voiceover in such a way that yanks an audience further into their program. There are just too many that are willing to subscribe to a puddle-deep view of world events so as to sound somewhat tolerable at the water-cooler the next day, instead of wishing to understand all facets of the issue.

Anyway...

I can't imagine the stress of being a walking target (albeit a well-armed one) on a daily basis in a war zone that is only starting to simmer down. That doesn't excuse beating the living s**t out of a kid or two in a moment of frustration, but it should preface the point that nerves HAVE to be raw over there among the troops, given tightening troop rotation schedules.

Maybe the brats tossing trash and rocks at the troops asked for the whipping; maybe they didn't. The media has already served as the popular judge and jury here for all intents and purposes the moment this was released (TWO YEARS LATE APPARENTLY), so I fully expect the military barristers to have marching orders that this now POLITICIZED "situation" is to be handled as one that will show the press and the world that has their information filtered through the popular media outlets as a "situation" that requires "examples"...

...no matter what merits that the particular troops may have performed in the past.
