I guess the thing that causes most normal civilians to become angry about this is that we equate teenagers here (USA, the west in general) to those in the middle east. This is obviously not the case, since not nearly as many teens here are so malicious in their actions. A 13 year old American is not at all the same thing as a 13 year old Iraqi. Growing up in such a f***ed up environment, it's no wonder why this is the case.

Typical western teen acting up = vandalism
Typical Iraqi teen acting up = roadside bomb

Maybe not typical, but you get the point.

I'm not justifying the actions of the British soldiers, just trying to give it some perspective.
