Hi guys, I've found a "too good to be true" ebay deal. I'd like some advice on it, but I don't want to post the link, just in case it is one of those situations where it's genuinely a great deal. The item is located in Italy, but it's listed as MA. The price on it is WELL below what I'd expect to pay for it, so I'm a bit suspicious. The bidding is pre approved bidders only, so I e-mailed the seller asking if it was legit or not. He e-mailed me back with this:

Quote:

Just to let you know, the item it will be shipped from Ireland. The item it is still registered in States and it is exactly like one you will can buy from there, no modification on it. So you won't have any problems registering the item back to US. From the same reason this won't be considered and import and there won't be any custom duties to pay.

The title and the bill of
sale will be together with the item. So once you get the item, you will receive the paperwork.

I would like to close this deal through ebay because in this way we are both protected. eBay will handle this transaction for us and in this way we'll be both protected. To register the deal on ebay, Ill need a replay with yours following details:

1. full name.
2. the shipping address (I mean where to ship the bike).
3. ph# -- I need this # for the shipping service.

Thank-you,

So that's what I got. Oh and the seller has 1270 feedbacks, with a %100 rating. Do you think this is an odd deal? I simply don't have much experience with bigger ticket items on ebay (i.e. anything over $50) and am a bit nervous. Any suggestions for a reply e-mail to test the seller on whether or or not he's telling me the truth? Thanks guys, just trying not to get burned and use the vast wisdom that is CEG.
