The car has about 61K almost 62K miles on it.

I've had it turbo'd since early 2003. I popped the first hybrid pistons by running 6 pounds of boost at the track with no intercooler, about 3-4 runs that night. Then I got an intercooler, repaired the engine, put in a torsen and got it tuned. Then I had plans for a new turbo setup so I planned on changing out to an ovalport and see what would happen.
I put in a low, and I mean really low mileage 3L oval hybrid in about Jan 04 and also revised my turbo piping. The previous hybrid had probably 15K on it NA, then it went through another 8-10K miles turbo before dropping in the ovalport. IDK exact mileages on that motor anymore, but it was daily driven everyday and that put me into the low 50sK miles range, somewhere. Basically right after the car went out of warranty, in the high 30K miles range I swapped in the 3L, so it probably had about 16-18K on it, which would have put it into the low 50K range as I said.
Therefore the Ovalport has been in for about 8-10K miles, turbocharged since Jan 04. Then I went to Iraq and that burned up March 04 to March 05 where the car only got drove once every week or so to the store by my wife, basically nuthing but keeping the seals lubed you know.
Then I got back and started racking up, miles including the 1K miles from texas and two trips back and forth to Atlanta.
So Yeah, in the last year I probably put on about 7K miles and daily drove it to work except the two months I took to upgrade the turbo piping to stainless and swap back in the SVT cams.
So its reliability has really been proven by all the daily driving and having faith to take it on trips and such. It is meant to be driven and enjoyed, not a show car just to be pulled out for a show. There is a difference.

There, now everyone knows my cars history. I drive it and depend on it everyday, or did, and I didn't drive a long distance each day since I got to Alabama because it is a small town. I only drove the other car for when I wanted to plan out and execute some new cool modification to the car!

We use a custom forged aluminum piston from Wiseco which results in a compression ratio of about 8.5:1

The rods are Scat's 4340 forged H-beam with ARP 2000 bolts. (These are not the Q-Lite version)

Standard green top, 42 lb Ford Lightning injectors.

In terms of balancing and blueprinting:
Each crank is rebalanced to match the weight of the new forged rods and pistons. Each block is checked for deck height, main bore size, etc. Heads and cranks and inspected as well. Due to small variations in piston size, we measure each and every one in our climate controlled quality dept and then make very closely matched sets of six. After this, each block is honed to match the set of six pistons. We do this in order to maintain very tight control over the piston-to-bore clearance to reduce the possiblilty of piston slap from the increased clearance requirements of a forged piston.

Other items which are different:
1) The camshafts are a unique profile with increased lift and duration.
2) The block is specially machined to install piston squirters on each cylinder.
3) The accessory drive setup requires a non-stock front cover.
4) We use a special dual frequency damper for engine smoothness. This is not an underdrive or lightweight type change.
5) Lighter weight 19 lb flywheel (SVT flywheel)

Always nice to read, too. I never get tired of hearin it.

Your car has been the driving force behind a lot of people and their modifications. Its tried and true, and a proven performer. I am sure you have certainly enjoyed driving it, if not less than the build up and fruition of your project!

Congrats, once again, on a project WELL DONE.
