I've had several problems with keeping batteries on concrete. Car batteries, and cordless drill batteries. Have had them go dead quite rapidly by leaving them sit on concrete (cordless drill battery was dead over night). Once re-charged, everything was fine. But it was almost as if the concrete sucked the juice out of the battery. Not sure.. just my experience.
