is it neccessary to put in a new flywheel when you replace your clutch? in my mechanics words "my clutch is porked" I knew that, but does that mean i can get away with keeping the orig SVT flywheel?
i did some searching around and i couldn't really find the answer. I did see that you can spend more on a flywheel than a clutch if you wanted to.
any help?

Needs to be resurfaced. Can be done at certain Napa stores that have a machine shop for about $30-$40. Just get the Spec Stage 1 which will include the needed pressure plate and TOB. $279.65

For those that have had tehres resurfaced...did the guy pull the locating dowels to machine that surface as well to maintain the dinension between the friction and mating surface?

He had to pull the dowels and resurface that area too or the pressure plate to clutch clearance will be dicked up.
