More ram isn't an option because #1) it's maxed already and #2) it's a 9 year old laptop and I'm not spending a dime on it. Which is the beauty of this thing, I leave it everywhere and never worry about it getting stolen.
I just need something that is more wireless network friendly and has MS Office, a browser, and a media player newer than 6.whatever. It's only used about once a month on average so I can't justify purchasing a new one.
