I couldn't agree more. I see nothing wrong with societies current "list" of swear words. To me they are just words.

But the words are "bad" because society says that they are. So if you use the words, society deems you to be "bad".

It's fine for you to say that a certain word is just a word to you, with no special meaning. But in society, that word does have a meaning.

what makes it a bad meaning? i am being serious. lets say we as a society get together and deem all words good. tomorrow, go to work, school and tell everyone that all words are now good. sounds like a good [censored] idea to me.

There are way too many words to even consider leeting it go, too many predjudices to consider.

Bad words are bad for a reason. I'm sure 98% of them were made up just to be that...bad.

Look at words like Faggot, Do you really think 100% of homosexuals will just say OK, It's a good word now...

i too was raised in a family where certain people cursed like marines so i personally see nothing wrong with cursing given the right time and place, ie not at the pulpit during sunday morning services or your wedding vows, etc. having said that, lmao at that list.

just for the record. i was raised never hearing or uttering a "bad" word in front of my parents. to this day it remains the same. it doesnt mean that i cant question it though. the day we stop thinking for ourselves is the day we become unavailing.

If you, in your own society (family raising) were brought up NOT to think of them as bad things to do, why retain a little bit of the societal meaning that they are "bad" when at the pulpit, etc?
