For the record Tourig, I actually got to drive one a little while back and was impressed with the car to be honest with you. I wished it had a boost gauge, but I found out from reading about it, that the boost level is kept down a bit, like 15 psi max and then it goes down to like 12 psi. I'm sure theres a good reason for this, but like I said before, if theres a way to get that boost up, open up the exhaust a bit and do something with that intercooler, it would be a HUGE improvement Its got the hardware, now they just need to maximize it

That is all I got to say.

For those who fequent the Mazda 6 forums......how about that mysterious MS6 powerloss? What a joke!

Once more for those who can't quite get it.

You can't take a car that had 5 runs, half of which didn't even work properly for the full run, that had pulls ranging from 205whp to 238whp and then pick the worst run (detonation and an early fuel cutoff) and call that indicative of performance anymore than you can pick the 238/277 run and call that one indicative of the performance.

HE HAD TO ICE THE INTERCOOLER TO GET 238!

So? If you can use a run that had detonation and where the fuel and boost cuts off and use that as a number, it's just as legitimate to use the run where he iced the intercooler.

Just to make it a little clearer -- None of those runs mean anything.

And, by the way Hector, where are all these other dynos that lead you to believe that "most MazdaSpeed6s dyno in the 200-220 range"? I'd like to see them. Hell, the entire MazdaSpeed6 community would like to see them, since to our knowledge only 2 Forum posters have ever taken their MS6 to be dynoed.

Jeez, you'd think you owned one. Mazda did another RX8 move with the Speed 6. REAL good thing that I didn't wait to get one of these.

Dont get your panties in a knot, You bought the EVO, some people will buy the Spec B, my dad got the MS6, i havent had ONE problem with the car, everything runs great, the AWD is GREAT, the interior is really nice on the way downtown, the Stereo is Great.

Hector, have you ever driven a Speed 6?

No....Mazda still doesn't have any here.........that I have seen. Honestly I would love to test drive one, sounds like a decent car. Mazda just needs to get their stuff straight with some of the issues.

So not only do you talk out of your ass regarding the dynos but you also admit never having driven the car despite your complaints about the interior rattling just as much as your EVO's does?

I find something wrong with that. You're talking like it's yours. I'm sure if dad really knew how you treated it, you wouldn't set foot 30 yards from it again.

And I thought this trend of bragging about driving our parents' cars around was finally over.

I dont recall ever bragging about it, and yes, I havent had any problems with the car, and no HE hasent had any problems with the car, and FYI my dad has no problem letting me drive his car, i drove it before he did for christs sake.

Plus, i dont recall ever saying that it was my car or letting anyone know that its my car. Please Grow up, im just defending a car i like.

Hey Tourige, I know what your saying about the car you like and get to drive, but I must say I didn't hear any rattles in Hectors EVO, but his G/F does have a 6 and maybe theres some in that one. BTW, don't get so pissy about this, or maybe its the fact that Gretz is some trouble, which is it

The inconsistancy in the dyno pulls are fairly evident that there is a problem.

This summer when its about 95 degrees and I pull up to a MS6 (making 200 crank hp because of the heat) I will toss some dry ice over to the driver and a couple gallons of 94 octane just to make sure he has no excuses.

Like any car, and particularly a performance car, there is a personality involved and how that personality meshes with your own matters. A relationship with a performance car is a lot like dating, some you want to marry, others make you want to jump out the bathroom window and leave them at the restaurant.

I drove the Mazdaspeed6, and while the power was nice, it didn't tempt me away from the Mazda6 I already have. Others have done the same, and have made the switch or madly lust after the Speed version.
