I dont know where Hector got those numbers but thats a friggen joke, the car is in the 13's no doubt about it, and im pretty sure it can trap over 100

Maybe with some mods.... GTs are lucky to break 14 and 100. Almost every MS6 test I have seen put it in the low to mid 14s and these guys launch cars for a living. It ran a 14.8 because it had 91 octane.... 91.... not 87. A lot of the united states doesn't offer 93. Even parts of PA I have found only offer 91 or 92. Did you see the 0-100 time of 24 seconds? I had to run 89 in my GT several times (in a rural area) and the car performed nearly the same as with 93.(STIs have documented some power loss on low octane but nowhere near the loses the MS6 is suffering) The octane sensitivity and poor cooling is a major design flaw. Its not something easily fixed by an ECM reflash. This flaw is heavily documented and now is shown in a magazine. The production delays were probably buying time to work out engine issues. I hope the new SUV mazda has these issues worked out. (since its de-tuned)

Also I mentioned before that the aftermarket support for the GT is strong. I know you cannot compare stock to modded but with the GT you have some easy cheap mods if you crave more performance. If you want, a stage 2 legacy will give an '06 Goat a run for the money. Having that option is a selling point for me especially for a performance car. I can't imagine MS6 aftermarket will be that strong since in current tune the car is so sensitive. Maybe adding a FMIC would really help.

MS6 weighs 3600-3700lbs depending on trim.
The GT weighs roughly. 3250-3400(wagon)

The MS6 is a neat car. I like the car its based on. The interior is interesting looking and quite comfortable. The exterior is also quite attractive.
