Umm, you know the Legacy's HU is integrated, right?

In fact, many Legacy owners are running around with 2 HU's in their car because the Automatic Climate Control System is literally one-in-the-same with the radio. Those with manual climate control (like me), at least have the option of buying a Metra kit and installing a single din radio.




Yes, but given the choice between the two, I find the Subie to have the superior interior to the Mazda. I would just hack the M6 stereo to add an S/PDIF output, but it also doesn't play MP3s. Not sure if the Subie does or not.

So, in short:
M6 interior is average at best. Subie is above average. Everything else is similar enough to not distinguish one from the other.





Only the high end Subaru Legacy 3.0 can decode mp3's.

Someone on the subaru forums developed a piece of hardware to hack in a aux-in for ipod integration. I relish the fact that I have manual climate control.
