I will get the MS6. ...... and better interior, that is.

Have you been inside a Legacy? Have you been inside a 6? Even my base model Legacy has interior materials that make the 6 look like it was manufactured by Fisher Price. I am not 6-hating either, I actually wanted one, but the dealership wanted to use their financing, not mine.

While the Legacy certainly has a great interior, and an exceptional one by Subbie standards, the MazdaSpeed6 has a unique interior all its' own. It's made of better materials, that fit better, and have a significantly better finish on them, than the standard Mazda6 does.

Thats interesting to hear. A recent issue of Car & Driver had a comparo between the mazdaspeed 6 and 4 other cars, in the issue, they made note of the 6's "low-rent" interior. In fact, here is a link:

FWIW, I don't think the 6's interior is bad by any stretch, I just think that Subaru did a pretty good job emulating VW in terms of interior fit and finish.

I've got that C&D issue, and for whatever reason, they hated on the MS6. Hard. One of the main reasons was that they tested a base model -- even though a fully-loaded model would have been within their desired dollar value for that comparison test. Choosing not to test a loaded model and then complaining about the lack of features on the car you got (each and every one of which was available on the loaded version) is just bad testing.

I will agree that compared to the VW and the TSX in their test, the Mazda interior wouldn't hold up in most people's eyes (even though, as I recall, C&D liked the interior of the base Mazda6 in previous reviews, and the MS6 is decidedly improved). But I truly can't see how it could be called "low-rent" by anyone outside of a 7-series owner or something.

And rating the Accord second place, even about the TSX? C&D is all over the map these days.
