The XGT1 is the only EEC from the SVT (or any) Contour that the memory addresses have been identified on. That is the reason you can tune with the XGT1 and not other EEC's from the SVT. I know the hardware and software guys who created the TwEECer through the boards and tuning with my Mustang and all (I own a TwEECer RT) and they bassicaly said yeah, we can identify the addresses and offsets of the memory locations on any EEC, but there isn't any real demand for a non SVT EEC so they weren't willing to spend the time. I also have a BIN editor that I can use... the TwEECer will pull any BIN off of any EEC correctly, it's "decoding" it that the software needs to be there for. From what I understand, the XGT1 and 2 are simply standard and cali. emissions versions, and the MNQ2 calibration is damn close to the XGT1, just more than likely very slight addressing differences... if that's the case, I am going to read it, see if I can work with the BIN, then possibly persue getting TwEECer support with it... not sure yet, but the biggie is getting MY key codes inputed into my MNQ2 so that I can get the BIN and also so I can drive the car with it.
The dealership I called was clueless and didn't understand what I wanted to do, so I went home at lunch and grabbed the EEC and all of my spares. From what it sounds like, it'll cost me like 80 bucks at worst to get them to throw my key codes in the EEC. That sounds about right... I'll try to talk them down, but we'll see.
I'll post back in a couple of hours and let you know how it goes.
