She picks it up either this Wed or Sat. I can't wait, cause I always drive when it's the two of us, so I'll be driving the 3 a lot. She got that really nice dark red color. I don't remember this color being available in previous years. It's called copper red mica.
Anyways, I'm excited.
Does anyone know what changed between the 2005 and 2006 models?

There's only a couple small differences. 3i models got VVT and 3s ATX models got a (much-needed) 5-speed instead of a 4-speed transmission. ABS is now standard and there is an outside temp gauge.

cool thanks.
The outside temp gauge will be kinda neat, but the rest doesn't really apply to her car.

The one on our Six is laughably inaccurate, just FYI. We leave it turned off, although my father has a compulsion to turn it on when he's in the car.

It's possible yours is positioned incorrectly. Mine is spot on except when stopped in traffic for long periods of time or just getting into the car. It sits near the road, so it can get a lot of heat off the road if you're sitting in one spot too long.

The Mazda3 is a great car. She'll enjoy it. You need to get your own car, and make it a Mazdaspeed6. WE just bought a 06 Mazda5 with a 5spd, and it kicks ass! Lots of room with six seats for a smaller vehicle. We really like it. I thought it sucked with the ATX but with the MTX it is fun and has power. Good vehicle, well thought out.

That's sweet. My wife & I are considering a Mazda 5. We test drove the first one in my area & were really impressed. The one we drove was an automatic (manumatic) & it was still peppy. I loved the third row seats & the dual sliding doors with windows that roll down. What color did you guys choose?
