First off, if you're solely taking the info from the video as gospel, you're being naive. Second, there's this force called gravity that would have caused the fuel load on those planes to proceed downward through any avenue they could find (air vents, elevator shafts, support structures) once the plane was coming apart. Most of the fuel would be located in the parts of the plane that hit and penetrated the building, so that meant most of the fuel was going to go down, and it's more than likely that a lot of it didn't just vaporize in place or burn before it got down there. And that DOESN'T take into consideration other combustibles in the basement levels. Just because burning fuel got down there, it wasn't all that would burn.
And as for the victims at the Pentago...they were there. Oh yes, they were there. Part of me hopes that what I was told in the days afterward wasn't true, though. The first responders must have had nightmares forever.
