Have you even seen a GT? The interior is quite spartan compared to the likes of the 'Vette - intentionally. The car not only recalls the history of the GT40, but emulates it in style & experience.

Yes, dollar for dollar, the 'Vette is a better bargain, but the GT is a more primal experience that is a reflection of the original GT40. Ford did a fine job with it and added some modern touches to downplay/eliminate some of the shortcomings of the original. IMHO, the whole idea behind it was for marketing, just to get some passions stirred for the nameplate - they never intended to put forth a long production run.
