OK, this last week has sucked.
As some of you might recall, last October some guy cut in from of my wife driving my '99 SE, and went under the rear bumper, I bought a '98 SVT front clip, and replaced all the sheet metal, the radiator support, header panel, both coolers, etc.
Last weekend, some puke keyed the driver's 1/4 panel from the tail light to the back of the rear door.
on 1-31-06, my wife was going to get lunch at a mall, and some {I shall refrain from saying anything asside from saying it rhimes with /contains icth} lady was cutting though an opening in a row of parked cars {illegal here} going into the wrong way on a one way, with no warning, and slammed the front clip over 2-3 inches to the right.
both grilles, left headlight, header panel, damaged hood, l. fender, bumper cover got scratch bad all over.
If anything really upset me, was this lady tried blaming my wife, and my wife was putzing along the isle, she had right of way, when this freak whipped out of no where and SLAM into my car.
On top of that, my wife wasn't sure what to do, no cops becuase of private property, no witnesses, no security from the mall.
The asked for our insurance info, got it, and took off w/o giving theirs, and they called like 5 minutes after they split trying to claim. I'm old enough and dealt with enough stuff to see a scam asap.
I spoke with my agent, got their info, called the lady, and said I need your insurance info for my agent. I called and filed a claim on their insurance {thankfully that they had it}. I got a call late today from my insurance, saying they are indeed at fault, not ours. They are not getting a dime, and the other's parties insurance is going to br calling us to take care of our claim in the next day or two.
I am going to take the SE back to the last shop I worked at, and have them do the work, not in the mood to tear it apart, I feel like I need a rental car, etc...LOL
If it was something that we were at fault, I would not of raised so much stuff...but, I am not in the mood to be taken advantage of.

You know, my friend's 00 Contour SE was hit in a parking lot in the same manner - by some idiot who was cruising between parking spaces with his kids in the car. I believe the police settled that one but can't recall - I do know that said idiot was found at fault.
