Not that simple. There are, as is common, two sides to this argument.
1. I can see the point that the employees should drive whatever they wish and not have a privelege revoked for not driving a Ford. Freedom to choose.
OTOH
2. As an employer, Ford wants their employees to have some sort of vested interest in buiding a quality product. How many people have you seen do a job half heartedly. Happens every day. Now if that person knew that the product would/could be used by one of their co-workers or family members, they might be inclined to put forth a bit more conscientious effort. Not only benficial from a product quality standpoint, but corporate image as well.
Both are valid arguments, but conflicting. Frankly, I support Ford & other automakers on this issue. So does the union, which kinda surprised me...
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.
