Ha ha, me too! Like Metallica best for longer trips. My favorite is the S & M album (I prefer live music over studio). I haven't figured out how to do it, but I want to make a CD of the soundtrack to the DVD I got with my St. Anger album. It shows rehearsals for that album, it's pretty raw. Like it.

wicked
I woulda never pegged you as a Metallica fan.

Really why?

Sometimes I'm in need some of a that loud, attitude kind of music. My mp3 player (that I only really use on LONG bike rides) has only loud music in it right now. Of course, not when the kiddies or wife are in the car!

A few years ago I was working at a Trade Show and our booth had a CD player and speakers etc. We all brought some CD's to play in the booth. Several of my co-workers were really surprised by my Rage Against the Machine, Metallica, Hendrix, Marley, etc. But they knew me pretty well.

Peel the onion and you will find the layers ! ha ha ha Some of them do stink, however.

Not Satriani. It's Harold Faltemeyer with Steve Stevens.

Yes it is Satriani. The song is actually titled Up In The Air off of the Crystal Planet album. Go look it up. I have the album

It is Harold Faltermyer and Steven Stevens.

If Satriani has a song like it, I would not be suprised, but on the Top Gun soundtrack, it is Harold and Steve.

Thanks for the backup.

I knew it wasn't Satriani, but, I used amazon.com (I miss straight CDNow ) to verify.

Personally, I like the two Golden Earring songs and one by Tom Petty that I'm drawing a blank on ... "Running Down a Drain ".

Uhhm... it is Runnin' Down a Dream. Lyrics

As for the Top Gun theme... it appears that I was wrong... I have the entire crystal planet album but for some reason my music tag program tagged the theme from top gun as "Up in the air" from that album... now i'm wondering where the actual up in the air song went....
