Is there anyone coming who has the DMD installed? I would love to see if the difference is noticeable. I'm afraid of the dealer screwing up my engine if I give them the DMD and a crank bolt and asked them to do it. I mean, they tried to charge me 2 hrs labour to change the serpentine belt already.

I know, it's an insurance measure for the engine, but still... sorry don't mean to hijack the thread.

Kerry,

I had the DMD installed last wk, and I did notice a difference in how smooth the engine runs and accelerates. However, I?m not sure if I made a sacrifice in power, because that DMD weighs a bunch?

If or when I get the turbo though, that won?t make much difference? :p

'kay, cool, thanks. I don't need a demo of the tire adhesion (ever been in the passenger seat of your car while a professional driver is in control of your SVT in hot pursuit of an M5 on the track??), just wanna see how the engine feels up the rev range.

Looking forward to meeting everyone (and meeting some for the 2nd time).

I really think that we should do lunch after the fun run. It's much more fun to be able to sit down and talk after the fun run...rather than just have to leave afterwards. Plus, it's going to be pretty early before and the guys coming down from Canada are going to stop for breakfast, so chances are most people aren't going to be hungry for lunch at 10:30ish.

Just a suggestion. What does everyone else think?

BC (G.Vancouver) people, I've got messages from Rageboy, and Dan....well, I'm seeing what's up with the drive down. Have you all thought of where and when you will all meet before heading down? I'll see if I can get out and head down with you all.

if you're bored, here is some info on my slug...

Christy,

Good idea. The Portland fun run we had in 2000...we needed to do lunch afterwards, cause otherwise we would have made ourselves car sick!

It's something we should seriously consider. I'll go along with the group, but would like to hear from others too.

Where exactly are we meeting and at what time? If I miss out on one of the caravans I want to be sure and be in Everett at the right time. Please include an address so I can run a Mapquest inquiry as I am not all that familiar with Everett. Thanks guys!

This board is supposed to go down today or tomorrow. Please post ASAP! Just in case, here's my email address: shotwell@pugetsound.net
