Whoever ran the SS and got a 14.7 needs to give up the keys. The Jeep is way faster and a much better vehicle for the segment it serves. The C/D test is [censored] IMO because you're testing SUV's that are designed to act like sports cars in ever aspect. If you read why they picked the SS over the SRT, its because of crap like cargo space and leg room in the back. If you're looking for "cargo space" and "leg room" and still looking at the SS or SRT, you're an idiot. C/D should have baseed their results off what consumers would buy either vehicle for...the wolf in sheeps skin idea.

VERY well said Ryan and FWIW, they said its pretty good in the twisties IMO, if you don't push it to the limits in the twisties, it should really kick ass especially with its lowered suspension and associated parts, the Brembos and those 20" perf tires on it

it may not b the fastest, but its 4500lbs and does a pretty decent job moving its own ass outta the way the ride quality is great and not harsh at all.

im not sure where i heard/read but chrysler wasnt allowing its employee discount on the srt8... but gm allows emp discount on the tbss... hmmm

wanted something that did most everything and since towing capabilities was somewhat important, it made most sense, trailblazer

I'm didn't mean to knock the TS SS, but theres a couple things I don't understand/like about it:

-NO DUAL EXHAUST , unforgiveable IMO!

-that white tach w/ black gauges, why

-doesn't have the current grill treatment, much cleaner IMO

-no upgraded brakes like the SRT-8

-outdated 4 spd auto, even if its re-calibrated, its still old and outdated

Now to be fair, what I do like about it:

-tried and true pushrod power

-the wheels are VERY nice

-2wd and AWD drive available

My wife says she'll always have an SUV due to how she feels behind the wheel of it. I'm trying to get her to lean towards the upcoming Buick Enclave (replacement for the Ranier and Rendezous), but I heard a rumor theres going to be an Equinox SS and that would probably make more sense due to her drive being longer now (we're moving) BTW, wheres Ford in all this, oh yeah, "moving ahead" or "Ford-ward ahead" or whatever they're doing nowadays
