Ya, DOS is gone now... been gone since XP came out (it was inaccessible, but still there, in ME). XP is very similar to 2000/NT in that it's stand alone (not built on top another OS, which for 3.x/9x/ME was DOS).

All the command prompt is now, is just a shell. It just feeds the commands to XP to do the work.

But like the other guys said... put the XP disc in and boot off it... it'll be like "you wanna install windows, fool" (I swear it says it just like that!). After the license agreement, it'll have a sorta FDISK thing goin on where you can delete the partitions and make some new ones (NTFS is what they use now)... then install Windows, yay!

Another way to do it is autorun the CD while windows is running, select "Install Windows" and do "new install." It will wipe the drive and start installing. This doesn't work sometimes, though...
