After the FSVT fiasco I decided that I didn't want to roll a rental for weeks on end and I didn't want to rush into my next car either. So I decided I'd ride around in this during my transitional period for a while. I've always wanted one of these since they came out back in 1995. This is a 1996 model. Scored it pretty cheap and it only has 89k on the clock. It's in great shape for a 96' too. Specs for those that don't know (I assume not many): T-5 turbo (running 5-6 psi I think) baseline numbers equal 240hp 221lbs tq. Weights about 3200lbs. Only came in auto, but that's okay. I've got mod plans for it already. I figure on making 300hp+ and 300lbs+ tq when I'm all said and done. New shoes and tires as well are planned as well. The ones on it aren't period correct, but they work. It'll be a fun EDD/project until I decide or find what else I want next within a year or less.

I love the exterior, but personally the interior is kinda fugly.

I'd still hit it

Yeah... looks 1980s-ish.

Yeah, cars from 10 years ago tend to look that way.

ha ha

the R spec inerior is SO VERY NICE inside!
Look out for Turbo 5 Cylinder addiction!

Get some Volans/Titans/Pegasus wheels - proper R needs them.

Personally, I like the interior better than a 96 Tours interior. sure, the center stack looks dated, but everything else is far superior IMO. The seats don't even compare. Oh, and ALL of the amenities you could want are on the 850 as well. Granted, it was a $40k car when it came out though.

Not sayin I don't like it... just that it looks like it's from the 80s.

Oh, and I concur. It does look dated. But that's part of the appeal to me. Old school.
