I was wondering if anyone has ordered the white face HVAC overlays from ebay. If you have do you like them and do you have day/night pics?

They are just vynil- and from what I've heard, they aren't the best quality. They are just overlays, so they won't affect the light output at night.

Yep, same thing. S&H Auto Trends is trying to make us some nice stock HVAC gauges that will light up whatever color we want. And thanks for the link, but those are a bit more than I was looking to spend.

Very cool. Hopefully that works out. I'm in for a group buy if it happens. Need to get rid of that damn green.I tried to install the one from import intelligence. And scuffed up the stock plate.
As for the rearview I'm looking to do the same so if you find anything cheaper could you let me know. Thanks again

Yeah, I'm working with Tyler to try to get that done... he needs someone to send him a stock HVAC panel. I'm sure he could sell a ton if they can be made. I tried to scrape the green off mine and messed them up royally. I guess if you take a razor blade and scrape veryyyy carefully you can do it though.

There are two different HVACs that I've seen on ebay. One is the Importintelligence style overlay with the cutout for the lettering. The other is an actual HVAC replacement. It is white faced with blue and red lettering and lights up red and blue at night. Its the same one that streetracerparts.com sells. I have it on my car and its top notch quality and looks great at night.

Well... you can get the autodim mirrors off ebay for a lot cheaper. There are a few different kinds you can get. Just the autodim (only needs power and ground)
Autodim with compass (also only needs power and ground) --Compass is self contained, so no extra wires
Autodim with compass and temp --Needs 2 wires run to wherever you want to mount the temp sensor in addition to the power/ground
I wouldn't mess with the homelink/onstar since you're gonna need the rest of the electronics too.
I pieced mine together, and it ended up costing me about $90 for an incomplete kit. I ended up having to buy 2 mirrors (an extra onstar just for the harness; $50 for both), temp sensor/harness ($40 for both), and my own wiring.
Ddave57's Gentex Autodim/Compass/Temp kit. I bought a kit off him for my brother, and it was of very high quality... I highly recommend you go this route since it was hard to find the harness and the temp sensor...
Brand new Gentex Autodim/Comp/Temp kit from Ford
There's also another company that makes Autodim mirrors... Donnelly.
My sister's 01 Subaru has a Donnelly autodim/compass mirror in it.
Donnelly Autodim/Compass/Temp/Maplight kit
Donnelly Autodim/Compass/Temp
Or if you like the cheapest you can get: Exon Science Autodim/Comp/Temp/UV mirror Never heard of the company, but there's a few of them on Ebay.

By any chance do you have any day/night pics of the HVAC?
