meee too! it makes me sad that ford allowed their engines to run at such high RPM's in overdrive though, I mean. When I go 70 on the freeway im pushing about 3200 RPM's.
agreed, first time i drove my old Grand Prix on the freeway (2000 GP-GT - first non-ford anyone in my family had ever owned - also the first car that wasn't a stick) - i got up to 90 and it was still at 3000 rpm, and that only had 4 gears..

My friend's '00 3.4 Grand Am runs 75 at 1800RPM.

my car is a chipped atx but when im going 80 mph is at 3000rpm.
2000 contour V6 ATX

Well, sorta... Not quite redline, but the best it'll do w/o going downhill.
Same stretch of A6, except going the opposite direction.
Sorry about the craptastic video from my digicam (I had to increase the brightness just to see the higher numbers). Wish I would have known about the Fuji Z1 and it's 30fps 640x480 MPEG4 video.
That'll probly be it for the Autobahn vids... I don't wanna get in trouble here.

in the first vid it looks like she's running on the warmer side..up by a/l on the temp gauge..

thats pretty high though isnt it? mine never goes above the r and i get worried when it does
