I also didn't see any info on st220 cams on their site

If the link even works, its the OEM link under their Ford Duratec V6 listing and it says the following:

O.E.M. camshaft specification for Ford ST220 V6 2,5l 24v

And I just realized that, had it in my mind that the ST220 had a 2.5L at one point and then a 3.0L.

But they are also not the standard 2.54L or 2.49L non-SVT cams, here is their timings and lift:

*95-00-2.54L & 2.49L Non-SVT and 95-99 3.0L Non Lincoln LS*
Split Port/Dual Pattern. Only LH 2.5 Intake has the accessory drive W/P pulley.
Intake Open = 17 deg. BTDC primary & secondary
Intake Close = 47 deg. ABDC for primary
Intake Close = 53 deg. ABDC for secondary
Intake Duration = 244 deg. for primary
Intake Duration = 250 deg. for secondary
Exhaust Open = 67 deg. BBDC
Exhaust Close = 13 deg. ATDC
Exhaust Duration = 260 deg.
Max Lift = 9.8mm

I would not take those specs as "gospel" for being different from the ST200.

They list those cams as OEM on the 2.5L engine. Only in the footnotes does it say ST220. Never does it say they are from the 3L engine which is the only engine that came in the ST220. Also when quickly converted to the specs we already know those numbers are extremely close to the specs for the SVT/ST200 cams. Now the ST220 cams may have a single pattern intake cam.

I know, which is why I put OEM in parantheses (sp?). I wouldn't mind seeing the specs on the ST220 cams.

What are your thoughts on the Cat Cams for the Contour V6, I can't remember the part number, but it's not listed on their site and someone here purchased a set, but a set of those in a full oval-port 3L?

Which CAT Cams specifically? I believe they have 4 or more stages of cams. Aaron(NVS SVT) bought I believe, stage 4 CAT cams, but doesn't have them installed.

Those are some extremely high rpm cams. I hope he builds an engine and oiling system to support them.

To answer the other question. Nobody has used a set of cat cams nor even had a set of gears attached to them. (they do not come with cam gears)

If someone were to use them I would recommend a stage 3 set or a stage 3/stage 2 mixed set. They also better have the pro racer tuning package to go along with a well built 3L engine to put them in. For that matter no one has checked valve clearance on the 3L as the CAT cams do increase the lift a tad???

The cams are just going in a 3L Hybrid. As for people using teh cams, when I spoke to teh CAT Cam rep he said that the 5 sets that he has sold were all used in cougars that did teh 3L Hybrid swap. According to CAT Cams the cams are made to use with all the factory parts but you must have a fuel managment system (good thing I got my XCal2).
