essentially you are going to "split" the drive in half and format it as NTFS then you will copy your files to the newly created NTFS partition and store them somewhere (on the primary hard drive or on cds / dvds, wherever you have room) so you can reformat the drive back to its original size. After that you should be able to copy all of your files back to the drive with no problems.
This seems to be a pretty common problem with dual hard drive computers, once a "master" is formatted and partitioned the "slave" tends to be recognized as a RAW format since it is no longer in the BIOS, windows gets confused basically and doesn't know whats going on with the extra drive.

Ok I understand what your saying, but If I cant access the RAW formatted drive, now can I copy the files? The drive is a 60gig maxtor diamond plus drive. my C drive is a 80gig maxtor diamond plus. They are both about 4 years old. I think only about 15gigs or so were used on the slave drive.
