will that work? if the data structures on the drive itself have actually changed, will just forcing the drive to think that its NTFS work?
In other words, if the data on the drive has rearranged itself in the move from one file format to the other, and the MBR is changed so that all of a sudden the drive thinks it is NTFS, the driver is going to start handling the drive like NTFS and just start reading random bytes that don't make any sense from here and there, because the drive actually isn't organized as NTFS.
I don't know jack about file systems, so it's very possible I'm missing something here.
