YES lines can BITE THE HELL out of you.


grab a line when it rings... see what happens.


60V doesn't feel good at all.

I worked as a telephone wiring tech in the US Naval Hospital in Jacksonville for years. 5500 users, all wanting more than one line, etc, etc..
moving lines daily. . running cable.. crimping, connecting, butt splices, jack covers, panduit, argh.


but.. yeah.. it hurts!

BINGO. That will tell you what wires work for the house wiring and which ones to connect to the green and red on the jack. That's how I would approach the problem anyways.

...and yes phone lines can zap you good.
