Not sure what the thread meant or was supposed to mean, but anyhow, if you want to reset your computer CEL - just open your fuse box, remove the fuses # 4 and # 11, give it a coupla minutes and put 'em back - this will effectively reset your computer unless the problem causing CEL wasn't fixed - then u will get your CEL again in a matter of a few hours.
I still don't know why would ya need to have somebody owning an OBD scanner but these guys got it - it's like 10 minutes drive from Poughkeepsie - up in Beacon.
