Terry Haines is the man you want to talk to about getting a new Zetec engine. I believe the last time he quoted a price it was $1600 US for a brand new engine. You can look for a used one somewhere and it may cost less than half that...it wouldn't be new though.
BTW, Terry can be found roaming the boards on occasion and you should be able to get his phone number to talk to him about an engine.
