So tonight I drove down to my local car wash to get it washed after all the crappy weather we had the past few days.

Go inside the gas station, pay for the wash and get the code for it. Enter the code, pull in, it starts washing the car, then just stops. Light turns green and tells me to exit. So I exit, go inside and tell them it pulled in, it started to wash the car and kicked me out.

They go outside, run all the diagnostic tests on it. Everything looked good, so they gave me a free wash to try it again.

This time I enter the code, pull in, it works fine. Light turns green, go to exit and hear a scraping noise almost, then a bang. Edge forward slowly and look in my mirror and find my drivers side skirt on the ground.

I went inside the gas station, and told the lady. We went inside the wash and checked it out. I couldn't find anything it caught on at all.

She called up her managers about it and took down all my information for the insurance claim. I hope to hear from them soon.

[censored] to hear man, if I had an SVT I would totaly never take it to drive through washes, thats like taking a lowered civic with an aftermarket body kit to a drive through car wash... has "bad idea" written all over it.

Yeah, just take your car to a "Do it your self." Where all you get is a high pressure hose. Sorry to hear the bad news. I hope it works out for you!

That really sucks bro, but in all honesty you should have known better, your car is lowered with a freaking ground effects kit on it! You were picking a fight with the car wash rail and it kicked your a$$

Well I might actually make a little cash off this, so I'm not complaining.

I just had a wash like this yesterday, no problemos.

Did have to break my antenna some more by forcing it down, but hey, the wash was free (from the shipping company).

I've used this car wash before though with no problems. It's actually brand new. I've been using other car washes like this for years never with a problem.

I never use touchless because I just think it's a waste of my cash. You can run your finger across the paint after and wipe off a layer of dirt.
