Ahh... so it doesn't even hold itself up...
My 81 Caddy Coupe Deville was like that. The huge trunk combined with the 5th wheel thingy on it made it SUPER heavy. Had to cut a 2" thick broomstick to hold it open... broke smaller things like long ice scrapers.
