I sorta helping my neighbor here, but he has a 2002 Deville DTS with that metallic white paint, and he washed it yesterday and theres little black speckles ALL OVER the car, you rub your hand on the paint and you can feel them. What could this be? What will remove them? I said Clay Bar would help, then he could wax it afterwards. He told me that "waxing is a waste of time" I think thats a bunch of bull, oh, he said the best thing to do on clear coat paint is to...get this...clean it with Pledge wood cleaner. Uhhh...no thanks, I'll stick to my Zymol smile anway, what could be on his car, and what can he do to get it off? Thanks!

"little black speckles" = ****ing road construction...

"ALL OVER" = where was he driving?

Bust out the tar remover/goo gone or something safe for the paint and remove them carefully...you don't want them coming off with the paint attached.

Road construction? THAT EXPLAINS IT! Fargo as 2 seasons: winter and road construction. Yeah, he was really mad. He just bought a brane new Ford F150 and his Caddy was parked in the garage for about a week, so when he washed it he just noticed the speckles EVERYWHERE (windshield, windows, trunk, hood, doors...EVERYTHING) thanks for the help smile
