Hahaha. I love it, always got a repost post to throw out. I thought I was pathetic lately about being on here since I got back from Iraq. You can remember little one liners about everyone.

NEVER!! I liked the first one a lot even though it wasn't realistic. Good story though. The second one sucked llama balls though.

Been there and done that last month!!! I tried all forms of teflon tape and it won't stop the leak.
FUNNY HOW I KEEP HITTING THE NOSE ON THE HEAD so to speak with those issues you've been having. at least IMO.
The PS pump on our cars rarely goes bad unless damaged. Anyway, I couldn't stop the leak so I ended up putting on a new line. It is a real PITA to do! You have to drop the subframe at least a few inches and will require realignment, assuming you don't break anything.
You need to order a new teflon ring from Bill Jenkins. He has the part number and sent me one. If you can install it without damaging it then your problem will probably be solved! It's only like a couple of bucks, you'll pay more for shipping. Well, at least you can slow the leak down a lot with the teflon tape. If you are lucky you might be able to stop it from leaking or reduce it enough so that you can drive it and see if you have any other issues. Put about 5 layers on that sucker with a taper, progressively thicker as you work your way back to the edge of the threads near the outside edge of the fitting. BE sure not to get teflon inside that breaks off and goes into the system. Keep us posted on when you get it on the road.

If you look at newcougar.org i posted pics of where it was leaking. Does Bill Jenkins sell the pipe that threads into the pump itself? i just need that short pipe. the one towards the front side of the pump that is in between the main line and the pump.

They have a pump rebuild kit and some parts. Contact him and he'll send you a parts breakdown of it. I think the tube that actually goes into the pump is bolt on, not threaded. Probably uses some kind of o-ring seal.
