Its not like super unbelieveable. My old boss in the air force was 5'6" 160 and could bench over 450. There are freaks in the world.

Lying over the internet is cool just ask CoopG6 aka Stryped

I've done a few of those back in HS (80 Olympics were on), and yes they took every bit of strength & concentration I could muster. I was a bit brute-ish back then. I could also pull off at least 5 hand stand push ups on the parallel bars before I lost balance. Remember the push up contest between the Russians & US athletes??

Now I'm fat, flabby, old, & fragile. Don't hurt me...

I'll call bs at 5'5 125 being able to curl 50lbs of anything remotely productive.

Doing a halfassed rep 5 times isn't going to do anything but pull a muscle or tendon.

You should stand with your back flat against a wall, and curl from your arm flat all the way to your shoulder, nice and slow with no rushing to maintain momentum, same thing coming down.

If you can do that 5 reps, hell even 2 reps at that weight I'd be very impressed.

LOL...

I'm in the "too small to LOOK like I can do anything remotely productive, or defend myself" category.

I've posted ONE picture of myself on CEG before (never got chopped!! YAY!!)

I'd repost it, if I had it on me on this laptop.. It just showed the definition, was all.

I'd trade some for some weight, though.

I'm not a petit guy. I can curl Pints like nobody's business. Beyond that, liters of Scotch are about the most I work out with...

BTW, I expect you all to care!

Sounds like the typical "Small Guy Syndrome"- bragging about how much you can lift to make yourself feel bigger .

Typical....It's like the little guys you see at the gym with a Napoleon Complex. They try to lift more weight then guys bigger than them.

I bet if your curling 50lb in one arm you are "throwing" it up and not doing a slow controlled curl WITHOUT moving your elbow. I see it all the time. Guys "whip" the weight up, buy swinging the dumbell from behind them to use the mometum to get it up, thinking they're cool. That is VERY poor for. And to those of us that know how to lift in the proper, technical, beneficial way, those guys stand out as "tools".

I've got decent sized arms and am approx 205lb 6'2" and I curl 40lb dumbells PROPERLY in sets of 10, for 3 sets. Byt ehlast rep of the last set, it's a struggle to lift.

Bragging you can throw up a 50lb dumbell, at your size is going to get you the negative attention you deserve.

Don't feel bad Pete can only do 3 set of 10 with 20 pounds

I think Pete needs to go on the Hoegaarden diet....
Seems Eurotour has joined the Hoegaarden diet
