How can brightest be subjective? i can see prefrence being subjective, but brightness is a proven fact.

Agree and disagree.

What you perceive to be "brighter" may not be the same as what someone else thinks is "brighter". How your eye receives light is not the same as how others eyes receive light. Is it not opinion comparing which is brighter - incandescent vs flourescent? One is a "white" while the other is "yellow".

Here's a question for you:
What time of day is "brightest"?

Im just saying SHEER output of light. I know 5000k looks like more light, but that dosent mean it is.

Hell, id buy 5000K is phillips made bulbs and balasts for them, but bewteen 6000K and 4100K ill go with 4100, and thats what i reccomend, Quality parts from phillips.

i guess in the end it comes down to personal preference..i mean some people just want Blue Blue HID's just..some people want it thinking it'll be brighter although its worse then halogen..and others just want it so that they can have a more crisp and bright vision of the road..color temps have been layed out for you..you want the most $$ from you HID's..stay under 6000K..enough said..although 6000K is recomended for off-roading but its bright and very blue!

I'll make a whole new HID FAQ so all this could be settled

That doesn't make sense at all. If 5000k LOOKS like more light, then that should be the choice - period. I'd say the same thing even if I personally liked 4100k better.

Absolutely nothing wrong with McCulloch. Vendors (I know, it's vendors...) and those within the industry agree that McCulloch is equal to if not better than Phillips.

The huge advantage Phillips has is that they have much more clout.
