If you balance the death toll actually caused by wearing a seatbelt, versus the lives it actually saved you'll see that it's an invaluable life saving device. That said, if you're wearing one, being in a given car with or without airbag probably makes little difference in your life expectancy. Maybe the airbag will save you a concussion, or some scratches... maybe it'll cause more?? Dunno..

Bottom line, I wouldn't have a problem doing away with it. But I always wear my seatbelt, my seat is properly adjusted (no lowrider cruising laid-back for me..) and I adjust the shoulder restraint correctly. I think if that doesn't save my life nothing will.
