%100 agree. I have been very unimpresed with the music that has come out the last two years. In my opinion we're going through a good music drought. It's not that there hasn't been any good music to come out it's that there has been a lot less good music coming out. It seems that every other artist is remaking someone else's music instead of actually coming up with something original or maybe it's just all been done?

That's such a cop-out argument, I hate it when people use this.
Because there's nobody in the world in the year 2005 that experimented with new music or wrote anything that you would like to listen to.

Beck - Guero
Absolutely one of the finest albums of the year. Saw him in concert promoting the Guero album this year and it was a great live show.
Weezer -
Another good follow-up with some great songs including Beverly Hills.

What do you mean it's a cop-out argument? This is my opinion and that's what I think. I have a very broad music taste and I like a little bit of almost all music. I listen to classical, hip hop (old and new), rock, progressive, motown, latin, jazz, r&b, techno, trance, and even a little country. For you to say cop-out is saying that i'm wrong and it's not that i'm wrong it's that my opinion is different than yours. You might listen to polka and maybe 2005 was a great year for polka so your a happy camper. But I haven't liked a lot of the artists that have come out and it's my belief that music hasn't been that great for a couple of years.

I dunno why but that just seems out of character for you, which is weird in and of itself cause i've never even met you.
Anyway...I haven't bought an album in years. I never was bog on it, but with the dawn of broadband there's no reason to. I have honestly always been a radio person. Listening to Cd's all the time gets boring to me.
Anyway, I dunno if it came out in 2005, but the latest greenday album was great. NIN - With teeth is good. There's some new Pantera stuff i've heard, but i dunno what album it's off of or when it came out. The new Korn stuff is catchy. Nothing that really blew my mind.

Right, so you've listened to EVERY new release for EVERY artist/band in the year 2005.
The only people who use that dumb argument are irrational cynical people living in the past. Also to say that you have a 'broad music taste' means that you really like anything catchy, which there is a lot OF and that you aren't a niche audience that only enjoys one certain avenue of music.
So to say that you have a 'broad music taste' and don't like new music and that it 'hasnt been great' because its 'all been done before' is a downright stupid argument.
