You presume thats a better set up then, eh? Gues I could take the 400 I save or so and maybe get a good intake.. since a factory air box with some sweet exhaust is probably a half-assed way of doing things.

$1000 for true duals?! What shops are you going to? Buy some straight pipe, buy a crossover, and a pair of mufflers (resonators to if you want) and fab some hangers...
True duals W/ HEADERS on my t/a cost me about $400.

Just going off this post back on 9/21/05.. thats about $1000.00, right?! I haven't went or called any shops.. just searched on here.

IIRC it's been discussed here that doing crossovers just for the sake of having one is not beneficial.
Mufflers, resonators, straight pipe, 45-degree bend pipes, flex pipes, hangers, and flanges.
My suggestion would be to crawl under your car and take a look to get an idea of the way you want to route it based on whether or not you will use resonators or not. You could also design it to run with test-pipes when desired.

I have been under there and know where I would probably run the pipping, and I would more than likly have a resonator on each as the trues would probably be ungodly loud and throaty. And I agree with you GTO Pete, I've read all those "discussions" on why not to do a crossover, etc, etc, etc. SO yes, I've done my homeowrk, just gotta find a teacher to turn it in to. One ? though.. don't MOST shops only do crush bends??  I don't think I;ve ever heard of a "go to" muffler shop that can do mandrel bends.

Correct. That's why I recommended 45-degree bend pipes, and that you crawl under to determine how you would run it - thus telling you how many mandrel bent pipes you would need to buy. Then you would take the pipes to the shop and have them cut and weld it together rather than taking straight piping and crush bending it.

Thanks guys, I've visted his site before.. but never really "read" much on it. I'll check his exhaust out. JCwhitney a good place to buy from? I've dealt with Summit in the past and don't care too much for their sub-par customer service. Bad experience to say the least.
