I had to do that the last time it was really cold except both my front doors were froozen closed I had to climb in from the back seat

almost happened again but the key easily unlocked the door this time

All the stupid feezeing rain usually manages to compeltely incase the drivers door and not get to the passenger door. And it is so frozen on the only way to get it off is to start the car and wait for it to warm up so you can smash the ice with your fist. IT SUCKS!

Woot woot!! I can't wait to go out for a drive. I just got my Blizzak WS-50's mounted.

Went out this morning while the roads were still covered and icy. I was taking off at stop lights like it was dry pavement while everyone else was creeping at 2mph! Just watch out for turning. They grab so well that you'll find you'll over compensate and have the rear kick a little.

Yup, I was starting off almost perfect. No slipping.

I actually did kick out the back once today. Took a left a little quick and the rear went sideways. Fun though.

i will purposely pull the e-brake so that the rear will slide around, like leaving the apartment this morning, I forgot my Shaws card and realized it before I was out of the complex, so at the entrance island I pulled a u-turn and used the e-brake to make the turn

Alot of times in the snow when I want to turn around. I just put the car in reverse, turn the wheel all the way, step on the gas and do a 180 without even moving from that spot.

Same -- I had to heat up some water on the stove, dribble it along the weatherstrip to free up the doors, then quickly dab up the water to minimize the refreezing. Argh.

I coated the surfaces of the doors which contact the weatherstrips with a generous volume of WD-40... will see how that works to prevent door freezing.

After all that effort, I then proceeded to lock my keys in the car at the Home Despot. Double argh. Good thing I have off tomorrow, 'cuz I got nothing done today.

Use silicone spray on all the doors. It stops them from sticking, at least stops you from tearing off the weatherstripping when the door goes. When it really gets icy, nothing will stop them from freezing, but under normal cold, silcione spray stops all the doors from freezing shut.

hopefully last night was one of those unique situations, where is was 50 and raining then the temp dropped, nothing you could do there to prevent freezing except to park in a garage
