...????? you put a new engine in,and didnt do headers at the same time?...i dont understand..a 15 minute job vs a 6-8 hour job now..oh well,to your question...2.5" is more than enough...3 should only be used under extreme hp conditions

This is what i would say is the ebst bang for the buck and sounds amazing...

MSDS headers...you can get them for 200.
optimized stock y...I had mine done and welded a 2.5 pipe from the y to the rear where it splits into 2 parts again for about 60 bucks. I think you could stop after that. Then you have the

headers to optimized y...2.5 all thw way back where it splits to 2 2.25in and the SVT mufflers flow pretty well.

If i were you,

I'd save for the Torsen LSD AND the headers so that when you pull the engine and transmission out it will be the last time!

Get the WeaponR stainless, should be able to land them for about $400 and the Torsen about $550. Then installation of the Torsen, should be about $100 at most if you already have the transmission out at the same time.

As for the exhaust, Dual 2" pipes straight back to the rear of the car out through two mufflers and don't bother to use a y-pipe. Then sell the y-pipe.

Maybe you can find some headers used right now?

Straight from MSDS you can get the headers only no coating for 200...mine were 220 shipped (I'm in UT...pretty close to CA) And the other headers are Weapon R.

Warmongers set-up would be better than the one I suggested, but as for price...mine's a decent amount cheaper.

ok i don't try that option from msds i will try to get it and about the configuration they wil be a noticeable gain?? or only in the upper rpm range??

i am a little curious because i always have 4cyl cars and never do thatkind of configuration i hear that configuration for a v8 but never in a v6, here in the local mexican escene all the people first make the engine and trans te most powerful they can so i am a little lower over here i have win to a mustang gt 2004,jetta gli 92,jetta glx(vr6)97,neon sxt with turbo 5 psi, and a neon sxt n/a

i want my first to be very strong because the cars they win to me from the first they leave me back for about 2 cars so if that configuration give to me a better start i will do of course after install a quaife dif.

thanks for the help
