I think you mean 'come on down from your high horse', but that's okay, I was able to figure out what you really meant.

Yes, I have, but fiction with implications based in reality must at least be plausible.

I must have struck a nerve by dissing everyone's favorite show. The creators of 24 are geniuses. They've created a show that breaks the mold of normal television dramas but still keeps it within the minimal attention span of the average American. So I'm not surprised when people get upset by someone not loving their favorite show.

I love the show. I just came on here because I told my wife someone would already have posted about him stealing a contour! I was right.

^^^ That's awesome that you captured that

FWIW I thought the season opener was interesting and a good setup, but it didn't quite grab me like last season's opener did.

Very interesting start. If my computer had been on, you would have seen something border line whitty posted by me, because I jumped into my computer room as soon as the commercial broke. Honestly, Palmer's death was expected, Michelle's was not, at least not when It happened. One of my favorite lines from the show was Jack telling the kid "the only reason your still conscious is because I don't want to have to carry you."

I'm glad Jacks back!!

Add a cuss word here or there and 24 could be on HBO and have more awards than any other HBO program.

I think it works here.

"Implications" in reality? Maaaan... I feel like a dumbass thinking that all these years, KITT from Knight Rider was real!

Turn off your brain once in a while and enjoy the show. Otherwise just crack open volume 1 of the encylopedia Brittanica and have all the "implications in reality" that way.

Must be an American Idol Fan.... Although I thought I don't think Paula Abdul's breasts are real.

Certainly works here, but not in the context it was used by deftoned. But still, if he meant soapbox, it doesn't make any sense, since I wasn't ranting or making a speech about anything.

Exactly my point. 24 is a 'dumb' show. I'm not saying there's no entertainment value in it, I'm saying there's more value in other shows. It certainly isn't something worth peeing yourself or losing sleep over, as many people have.

The first few episodes are lined up on the DVR. I just love watching people make asses of themselves. Very entertaining in the most intellectually vacant of ways, but I'm not wetting myself in anticipation.

There is very little on TV that I watch - 24 and Lost is about it. The reality idiocy has overtaken shows with actual plots and storylines.
