Anyone know if a brand of spray paint that will stick to plastic really well?
I've tried a couple of the duplicolor paints...one was an enamel. Boy, was that a mistake!
Looking for something semi-gloss to glossy.
Thanx!

Stay away from the duplicolor. It's weak...mine is already chipping, and I painted it in the spring. Go to a local paint store and have them mix it for you and can it. It will be much more agressive and will be well worth the price.

I have had my interior trim painted for over a year and a half with the Duplicolor paint and no fading or chipping.

You could also try model paint, like Testors. Mine's held up fine for 2+ years with clearcoat.

I second that, Model paint is made for plastics and made to stick well. PLus if you go to a good hobby shop you'll have all kinds of colors to choose from, if you don't want to go with body color.

I bought a can of the Duplicolor "Trim Paint" last night. It's made for the plastic automotive trim. It's almost a flat black. I'm gonna give this a try either tonight or tomorrow night and then hit it with a few coats of clearcoat. BTW, this is for the grill pieces. All three of them. I'm sick of looking at them and seeing a faded grayish black plastic piece of crap. I want them to shine like the rest of the car. I'll use the rear one as the test...it's the easiest to remove and there's no masking involved.
