That could be gross horsepower rating, instead of SAE, which was used after 1973 or 1974 IIRC. Also, modern cars may use their power more "efficiently" for lack of a better term, meaning the drive train robs less power than older designs. And if you compare tires, I'll bet that Ferrari has pretty skinny tires compared to my SVT, which means that traction could be a factor, as well. Just as in many things, it's about more than peak numbers. It's about the total design of the vehicle. That being said, I'll still trade my CSVT for that Ferrari tomorrow, LOL
