Hey I was going to have my hood custom done to have it open up on the other end. Anyone done this before? Do you get what I mean? Like on the older BMW 3 series and the Corvettes. Let me know what you all think.

Having front hinges means you have to have rear latching. Not as easy as you thought, right?

Some production cars (Buick?) had a reverse hood with a front latch. You would need some kind of roller to catch the back side of the hood and keep it where it needs to be. Then when the hood comes down, it would still use the latch.
The hinge is going to need to (kind of) do what the flip trunk does. It needs to have two pivot points. One to raise it high enough to clear the bumper, and the other to actually make it pivot and hang over the frontend.

You'd also need some sort of mechanism to keep the hood from being driven through the windshield in an accident. My old '77 BMW 320i (which hinged at the front) had pins on the rear of the hood which would slide into catches on the firewall in an accident to lock everything down. So there are some safety issues to consider.
