I'll bet they all design it like that.

I got to drive a 1986 Cutlass Ciera around for free b/c I fixed it. Dude was drunk and hit a curb at 50mph... Control arm was all sorts of bent up. Threw one on from another car, good to go. Rim wasn't even bent (maybe b/c it had super tall like 195/85-14's on it).
